Cardamon and cumin spiced rice balls

This is the perfect alternative to plain rice. The flavour from these rice balls can accompany any meal. We love it with our My Veggie Bubba Mung Bean Curry or our My Veggie Bubba Veggie Dhal. The cardamom helps with immunity and is rich in Vitamin A.

My Veggie Bubba | Family Recipes and Indian Recipes for Kids
  • Rice
  • Cumin seeds
  • Ghee/oil
  • Cardamom seeds
  • Turmeric
  • Coriander leaves
  • 30g Rice washed
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp ghee/oil
  • ½ tsp of crushed cardamom seeds
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp dried coriander leaves
    • In a saucepan boil the rice until cooked
    • In a separate saucepan heat up the ghee and add the cumin seeds.
    • Once the cumin seeds crackle add in the cooked rice, cardamom seeds, turmeric and dried coriander leaves and stir
    • Cook for 3-4 mins.
    • Roll into balls and serve with dhal.
