This is a staple in our kitchen! Great family recipe for all ages. We add this to yoghurts, smoothies, parathas pretty much anything! It provides essential fats and protein in yours and your little one's diet.

  • Sunflower seeds
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Hemp seeds
  • Cardamom
  • Saffron
 Ingredients
  • Peeled Almonds 1/2 cup
  • Cashews 1/4 cup
  • Pistachios 1/4 cup
  • Sunflower seeds 1/4 cup
  • Pumpkin seeds 1/4 cup
  • Hemp seeds 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom 2 pods
  • Saffron 3-4 strands
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg Powder 1/2tsp
    Method
    • Dry Roast each of the nuts separately until they are hot to touch. Do not over roast them as they can release oils. Set aside to cool

    • Dry roast the seeds until they are hot to touch. Set aside to cool.
    • Place the saffron on the heated pan until the colour turns a little darker. Switch off and set aside.
    • Add all the roasted ingredients (nuts, seeds, saffron) into a blender and blend. Add the turmeric and nutmeg and blend again. Don't blend too much as the ingredients can release oils. 
    • The mixture will be a little bit sticky due to the oily nature of the nuts.
    • Place in an air-tight container in the fridge. This will last up to 1 month. Add to pretty much anything!
