These are perfect for finger foods. The sweetness from the plantain and carrots will definitely get your little ones asking for more. Plantain is a good source of fibre, vitamins and minerals that can support immune function. They are suitable from 10 months plus.

Plantain and Carrot Sausages Family Recipe by My Veggie Bubba | Mum Made Healthy Toddler Meals
  • Carrots

  • Plantain

  • Dried Herbs

  • Cumin

  • Turmeric

  • Pepper

  • Weetabix 


  • 1 Carrot peeled and chopped

  • 1 Plantain peeled and chopped

  • 1 tsp dried herbs

  • ½ tsp grounded cumin seeds

  • Pinch of pepper

  • Pinch of turmeric

  • ½ Weetabix grounded

  • Avocado or Olive Oil

    • In a saucepan boil the carrot and plantain until soft. Mash well together.

    • Add the herbs, cumin, pepper and turmeric

    • Shape into sausages and coat with the grounded Weetabix

    • Place in the fridge for 10 mins

    • Air fry/pan fry with oil (avocado oil) until evenly cooked.
