Red Lentil and Carrot Wraps

Delicious wraps either eaten alone or filled with a tasty filling. We love ours with a parsnip and spring onion mash or with a plant based yoghurt. Great for lunch on the go and perfect for play dates. Suitable for 10 months plus.

  • Carrots

  • Red Lentils

  • Whole Wheat flour

  • Dried Herbs (optional)

 Ingredients
  • 2 Medium Carrots pealed and grated

  • 35g Red Lentils washed

  • 4 tbsp Chappati flour (Whole Wheat Flour)

  • Water

  • 1 tsp Dried herbs

  • ½ tsp turmeric

    Method
    • Boil the red lentils until soft. (approx. 20 mins)

    • Add the lentils to the grated carrots

    • Add the flour, dried herbs and turmeric to the mixture

    • Add water slowly and form a dough.

    • Divide the dough into approximately 5-6 balls (depending on how big you want the wrap)

    • Roll the balls out (approximately 1-2mm thick), cook in a pan on a medium to high heat until both sides are cooked.


    These Red Lentil and Carrot Wraps are a nutritious substitute for chapatti and are perfect to serve alongside My Veggie Bubba's Mung Bean Curry and Rice!
